What is an animal, such as the situation in Korea?

Country Animal Protection Act was first introduced in 1991 prohibiting the torture of animals.
Because dogs and cats are common pets in the Korea Animal Protection Management System was introduced, when the law was revised in 2008, to promote animal welfare in the country.

Korea Animal Rescue and Management Association also runs a shelter for abandoned animals, and promotes adoption.
