Pets as secondary prevention at-risk groups

There are many diseases / disorders, which may be reasonable and useful in secondary prevention and the prevention can contribute greatly to the pets. This primarily concerns the complex disorders of blood circulation system and heart. 94 percent of physicians, health insurance representatives and representatives of health authorities believe that at-risk groups for diseases of the circulatory system and heart secondary prevention is possible and reasonable, and most of those interviewed also believes that this can prevent a substantial contribution as well as domestic animals.
Other diseases for which more than 30 percent of respondents believe that domestic animals can significantly contribute to secondary prevention, are musculoskeletal disorders, psychosomatic diseases and disorders of development and behavior in children.
Respondents also named a range of spontaneously-risk groups who could responsibly recommend you get a pet:
Lonely and people living alone
... Not your pet and yourself, have a life mission (training skills!) And easier to establish and maintain social contacts. The animal can contribute to this pleasant and joy of living, pay their own minds from the worries and work as a partner for communication (social stimulation)
Children generally and children especially problematic
... Found only in animal friend for my game, but also learn to be considerate and take responsibility. Pet promotes child development, and putting feelings of loneliness for example only child.
Persons with excessive weight

... Are some pets (especially dogs) literally forced to move. Mentally ill and depressed people
... Can help the animal find its role in life, but also to regain peace and joy of life. Here is an animal (like the lonely people) distract from its own troubles, and diseases and to facilitate social contacts. Animals adopted a sick person as it is and it also acts favorably on the self.
The old
... Animals are encouraged to physical and mental activity. Animals also help to avoid the frequent problem of elderly people - loneliness and social isolation.
People in stressful conditions expressly
... The animal can easily "turn off" and better cope with everyday stressful factors.
Disabled and chronically ill people
... To the animal not only new content business, but the animal they often can help greatly (such as guide dogs).
For different risk groups recommended various domestic animals. Interest on these issues is large and shows that a substantial part of the people questioned over these problems have intended. Problems, however, are active in their own advice.
For example, dogs are recommended for people with mobility problems - also overweight - children, elderly, lonely, and mentally ill people, but also physically disabled. Cats are especially suitable for single person, home patients, mentally ill people, depressed or stressed person, or a combination of such conditions.
