Tests on rats and male rabbits by a number of researchers in Indonesia, proved that 18 kinds of nutritious plants that reduce fertility.
According to a former lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine UNSRI it, the 18 plants that inhibit the growth of spermatozoa (spermatogenesis), thwart the maturation of sperm, sperma inhibits transport through the channel degeneration of sperm, and prevents the storage of spermatozoa. Pare the plant extract, containing cytotoxic compounds such as saponins triterpen and cucurbitacin, which can degrade the quality and quantity of sperm cells in male rats.
